UPPER LAUTERBRUNNEN VALLEY: A magical few days hiking in the Swiss Alps, photographing wild flowers. Nothing like seeing Astrantia (or Great Masterwort) in its natural setting.
NEWBY HALL: I spent four years working as a volunteer gardener at the beautiful and extensive Newby Hall gardens, in North Yorkshire. Pictured are the new double borders, which offer a more restrained and subtle departure from the old borders. It was always a joy to be both working with plants and in the company of the garden team, who remain friends.
